Doing What's Right
"Stand with anybody that stands right. Stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong."
This is a lesson that I've learned numerous times and with my attention span, I will likely to learn many more times. The lesson is this: Always do what's right. The quotation from Abraham Lincoln is applicable if the anybody is you.
There is not a neutral moment in our lives. As Ben Franklin posited, "Would you live with ease, do what you ought, and not what you please." Doing nothing is often something that we "please" and not something that we ought to do.
